Mount Galehead (4,024 ft) sits southwest of Mt. Garfield in the Twin Range of the White Mountains. Hikers reach Galehead via the steep Frost Trail and often stay at the AMC Galehead Hut near the summit. The summit area opens up to views of the Pemigewasset Wilderness and Mt. Garfield. Galehead’s alpine meadows and hut make it a favorite side trek.
