Mount Liberty (4,459 ft) is a sharp peak on the Franconia Ridge overlooking Franconia Notch. Part of the second-highest range in the Whites, Liberty lies just south of 5,249-ft Lafayette. Its ledgy summit provides dramatic views across the notch toward Cannon and Franconia Ridge. Hikers climb Liberty via the Liberty Springs and Franconia Ridge Trails, often as part of a Lafayette circuit.
