Mount Monroe (5,372 ft) sits just south of Washington in the Presidential Range. Named after President Monroe, its summit also lies above treeline. Hikers often combine Monroe with Washington via the Crawford Path or from Lakes of the Clouds Hut. Though similar in height to Madison, Monroe is actually slightly taller. We offer Mt.
